I don't know. Is there one? LOL! Surely no cop would be upset by 11 guns and a boat load of ammo in one car, right?

Sounds like fun to me! count me in. P.S. there is no restriction on number of guns you can transport in your car in NC but I would have them all unloaded and in the trunk just so you dont get that questioning from a "curious" officer. LOL

Smile National Forest

SPOCHAP ANAR: Sir; I just checked and the two I found the quickest. Abbebville, and just out side of Sumter, dadgumit.

My hopes are to find a farm or gravel pit central to the NC SC border. nearer to I-85. I'll see what I can discover tomorrow.

Keep thinking of a place

We got names

When do you plan on doing this, neophyte? I have just gotten a job with my local school system and my start date is toward the end of July.....I will be in MI the beginning of July......I and my spouse may be "probables" if its a weekend thing....little "S" would have to come, so I don't know how some may feel having a young one there.....to some, that's a break from their kids...understandable.

Smile Babies Welcome

MrsS: Ma'am; and the rest. I'm checking later today or tomorrow with a horse ridding crew. Maybe the'll know about an area.

MrsS: my opinion, babies, youngin's, grandmaws' and grandpaws are welcome at any place I show up. I love em all.

Shade, Water, with a hot dog, mustard and chilly Need only to be wary of ear noise.
Definite Weekend. Too many are Working to pay for habits

I would love to join y'all whenever y'all get it worked out, but I don't think I can make it anytime soon(dang it!). Have to do it some other time. Good luck to you though! Hopefully it'll work out!

Well, a weekend would be good for me if the shoot is on a Sunday. I'm not off on Saturdays, we're "all hands on deck" every Saturday, I'm afraid. Good for business, not good for getting together with people.

We can camp out!

Been to the one near Abbeville also there is one right off I-26 Clinton SC. There is also one at the Uwharrie Nat. Forrest in Asheboro NC. Don't know of any near the I85 border. I have plans the week of 7-19 FYI.

Uwharrie National Park was on my List. Saturdays it is Crowded at the shooting range.
My thinking: closer to the NC-SC Border. Reason, Fuel and travel cost.

CAMPOUT=Party sounds fine to me. Abbeville I have forward a query to the SC Park Service. what may be available. 6-17-08 todays date

Hardheaded: I still believe private property would be better. The camping thing I like too.

Most at this point are central to Charlotte at this point.

fishinfool1991: Sir; kiss my grit; outstanding simply outstanding

Sir; anyone who could be accommodating will forever be glorified in the 'annuals of Gun and Game'.

Sir; for the most part Sunday is best. If we could ask for an early morning until mid to late afternoon. I'm flexible.

Folks; Camping is allowed at Uwharrie National park, with all kind of outside happenings. Tent, Horse, 4 wheeler, fishing, Camping rigs, and they may have some cabins to rent.

Look up the accommodation's, Albemarle is probably the closest to motel's..

I can get you simple directions to Uwharrie. Lets see how the ''fishinfool'' makes out.

fishinfool; thanks.
