Shot one at a police shoot last week and have ordered one. I've carried my Glock 22 for 15+ years doing security/police work and hate to relegate it to standby. But that XDm can SHOOT!! I believe it's Glock's nightmare and will catch on soon enough!!
Only problem is that no one makes a holster for duty use for it yet. Since it has the 4.5" barrel it's too short for the Tactical's holster and too long for the Standard.
Mine cost $645 with 7 extra hi-caps. Got it off Gunbroker and it is due Monday so I will post pics of it.
It's only available in .40 at this time and will be available in 9mm and .45 in the future. If you are thinking of getting one, I say go for it now. It is one sweet-shooting pistol!!

It looks very nice. Holds 4 more rounds than the regular XD. It's only available in .40S&W, and some say that a 9mm version could hold 20 rounds...20 rounds.....wow.

I love how the XD-M looks, even compared to the regular XD. I hope to get my hands on one soon. If a 9mm version comes out, I'd be tempted to buy it.
As it happens, I have a use for a new 9mm as well. But I doubt it will be out anytime soon.

I could not find an XD-M at the gun show yesterday in Pasadena but I sort of expected that. NP There is always next week at the convention center in Houston. Will keep looking.

I was at the gun show in Miami today and there were none to be found. I spoke with several dealers who had a large Springfield selection and none of them had even seen one.

Yes, I believe they were shipped out originally before they had enough on hand to really supply the demand. But I wonder if there really is a demand or if there just weren't too many made and delivered so far. Hard to say.

I just realized that your price of $645 was with the extra mags. What would it have been just for the standard kit? NIB with all the goodies that come with it.
