I liked a book called "delta force" about the creator and the creation of the delta force. other ones I liked were "skunk works" by Ben Rich talking about the secret skunk works department of Lockeed Martin and their designs of the U2, SR71 black bird, and the F117 stealth fighter. "Shadow divers" is another about a diving team who found a long lost U-boat submarine with the crew still inside just miles off of the east coast. there are other good books by Robert Ludlum and Tom Clancy for some of the "shoot em' up" types. all of these books were either thrilling or very interesting if you like this kind of stuff.

I figured that most of yall would enjoy the same type of books as me and could fill me in on some good un's!! Thanks!!

P.S. I watched Unforgiven again last night and that got me in the mood for a good book! Thats also why I changed my avatar :-)

My first response: "Lone Survivor"

It is a non-fiction written by a Marine Navy Seal who was on patrol in Afghanistan. His unit was attacked, he went through hell and was the only one to survive. This was his story. It is a great book, I haven't finished it yet, but what I have read so far is awesome. It is heartbreaking, action-filled and nerve-wrenching constantly.

My church read this book when it first came out. The sermons every week corresponded with the points made in the book.

OK I got the one you really have to read. Just forget all those other ideas.
The Cat in the Hat. Its by this guy Dr Seuss. It teaches all kinds of life lessons. Had me spellbound from beginning to end.

Just finished The Hunting Rifle by Jack OConnor - out of print but available at abebooks.com - absolutely the best and reads like a novel.

one of the better books i have read

Amazon.com: Baa Baa Black Sheep: Gregory Pappy Boyington: Books

hes not a bad writer either, the tv show sucked, but the book is excellent, its really more or less about his alcoholism

samuel pepy's diary
the personal diary of a man that lived during the 1600's
he saw the black death first hand.
it is fascinating because he never meant anyone to read it and it is the only personal account we have of this time in history that was written like this that has survived.
