lapua and privi in 7.62x54

is the lapua really worth twice the price of the privi? and then there's norma at over a dollar a case!

I don't think so, but I was too cheap to ever buy the expensive stuff to see. The only test I could think of would be to get some of each, and see how many reloadings each lasts. I haven't had my Mosins long enough to do that yet.

I put hole in paper. cheap is a good thing. If I have a flier the paper will live a other day!

The more expensive brass, listed above are held to a higher QC where tolerances are concerned. Great for repeating accurate loads, but not really necessary. Supposedley, the metallurgy is better as well.

What do I know? I buy the 5 buck bags of 20 JMS rounds from Smokewagon Gear. They are boxer primed, and at a quarter a round, aren't that much more than surplus. A good way to build a stockpile of reloadable 7.62X54R cases.
