The NRA Strikes While The Iron Is Hot

Following up on yesterday's Supreme Court ruling that the Second Amendment protects a private right to possess firearms that is not limited to militia service, the NRA today filed five lawsuits challenging local gun bans in San Francisco, and in Chicago and several of its suburbs.

I have been hiking the past couple of days in the hills. In conversation with people on the trail, they are making the statement that the NRA will cost the courts a lot of money. I said that’s not true! The cities chose to put these bans on guns which violated our constitutional rights. To avoid all these lawsuits, it could be settled out of court by lifting the gun bans – no money lost.

We have to remember to exercise our rights. If you don’t, then people get used to not having them – then you lose the second amendment.

Joke: how does the ACLU count – One, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight,…
LOL

Put the pressure on 'em, and don't let up. We need to start taking everything back, that the gungrabbers took away. I'm not talking about machineguns, and rocket launchers. I'm talking the rights of the people. They need to hit them in all the states where the grabbers have been most successful, and get the folks realizing that they have been taken for fools. If we can't protect ourselves, nobody else will. It's never been the job of the police to protect us, that's just more of the antigunner lies that have spread, over the years. Sic 'em, NRA!!!

I think the NRA will remember...the word..."payback", after all these years, of the chit being rubbed in it's membership faces, by this gang. I think now is the time for the NRA to flex it's membership muscles, and show just how strong we are, by bombarding them with lawsuits to prevail back many of our... (restricted by their laws).... second amendment rights. I do believe the NRA membership would financially support the NRA with these lawsuits. It's "payback time" for them, too. I also believe it is time to start a major recruitment and fund-raising campaign, to highlight these forth-coming court-room battles. We are now armed with the recent SC ruling as major evidence, for our side. Utilize it! Another D-Day is upon them!

No holds barred reclaimation ! I think some municipalities will roll back illegal restrictions on a financial basis, as they cannot bankroll the potential lawsuits coming down the pipe. Others will have the support of the ACLU should they be so foolish as to fight anything with constitutional merit(like that ever stopped them before). Then we have the major cities with deep pockets that will squander taxpayer money in frivolous defense of unconstitutional restrictions. Then of course there are the states with the deepest pockets and least common sense that will will attempt to dig in fervently.

I expect after the cascade of defeats sure to come in the near future, that many will see reason and aquiesce (sp?).

Theres a new circus in town !

The best defense is a great offense, and let's don't let up, when they are busy defending themselves, it's hard to mount an attack. The very fact that they had all those years of gun control with no results did them in. It just doesn't work. Thank you Founding fathers! Guess who inspired them?
