Bob my Sister was 15 years old back during Del Shannon and other Oldie singers and my parents were cool and played this stuff too. So I cut my teeth on it. When my sister got a 45 record of the song Johnny Angel she played it 24 hours a day. Her boyfriend was named Johnny and she married him years later. Childhood sweet hearts. Lou Christie, DC5, Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, Eric Bourdon and the Animals, Rascals, Paul Revere, Grass Roots, Stones, Steppenwolf, Vanilla Fudge, Deep Purple, Essex, Kingston Trio, Ventures, Duane Eddy, Sam Cooke, Fankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Leslie Gore, David Allen Coe, Dick & DeeDee, Jay & the Americans, Dion, Dixe Cups, Four Tops, Ben E King and Stand by Me...Awesome, Blood Sweat & Tears, Grand Funk Railroad, Patsy Cline, Chicago Transit Authority, Buck Owens, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Buddy Holly, Blind Faith, Traffic, Merle Haggard, Tommy James and the Shondels, and too many more to mention. from the 50s thru the 90s and some in the 2000s, both Rock, and Country. |
