I can only speak for myself, my knowledge of ham radios is extremely limited! I might be able to turn one on or off thats about it!
both are tested and you can get quality answers. Just might want to join them, It will help in the transition. Many concealed use function built into each unit gots to dig

I use the Icom W32A , which is one of the best HT's ever made...Icom quit making them . It will not only do Satellite Work , but it will do Cross band Repeat between 70Cm and 2 Meters, and dual band monitoring !
