Smile Hams...your opinion please.

I’m getting ready to buy an HT before months end, and I’d appreciate your opinion on the HT I’m considering: Kenwood TH-F6A.
I’ve been looking at a few other HTs too, including the Yaesu VX-6R and the VX-7R.
The F6A seems to stand out a bit more in ease of use and RX spread.
Please reply with your thoughts…

I use the Icom W32A , which is one of the best HT's ever made...Icom quit making them . It will not only do Satellite Work , but it will do Cross band Repeat between 70Cm and 2 Meters, and dual band monitoring !

Well, with all the good info...I'm ready to take the Ham plunge and buy a Kenwood TH-F6A.

Assistance in this important choice is much appreciated...

Craig and Rich,
It's good to know there are other Hams in this forum...

He's posting about electronic communication

but I would have a hard time trading a good cured ham for the
electronic one.

Kenwood TH-F6A purchased at lunch...part one of this project completed.

Now, we're looking for a good compact mobile...one that can be carried from car to home, and even on self, as needed...

Thanks again for all the help.

Oh, there's a lot to be said about a delicious smoked ham, tender and juicy...hmmm.

Yes, Ham, a very important tool for reaching out there. Maybe a life saver some day. Thanks for the info. Got a short wave from Sony and the ham would be next. Have to check those out. Gun and Game on Ham radio. Interesting. Real live time conversation.
