The P.A. told me that it is just fluid buildup due to inflammation from the Bursitis. He told me to ice it for 15-20 mins. every hour, if possible and to not use it any more than I have to. According to him, if I do all of this and take massive doses of ibuprofen, it'll go away on its' own. He also told me that if it doesn't, I need to go see an Orthopedic! I'm getting to where I really dislike doctors and hospitals. In the last few months, I've had to got to the E.R. several times and they haven't actually done anything yet other than taking my money. I've still got several slivers of steel buried deep in the palm of my left hand that they said would come out by themselves as well as my "golf-ball elbow".

Come to think of it, that's a brilliant strategy for the station! I can just start telling customers "I found the problem, I think, but I'm not going to fix it. That'll be $400.00, have a nice day"

Have you tried or thought of trying that Glucosimine (spelling?) stuff? I decided to try it and see if it would help me with my neck and back. Needless to say, it hasn't, or I haven't noticed any difference so far. I did however notice it did help with the gravelly sound and pain and aching in my knees? The one my wife got me was the Glucosimine Sulfate, not the Glucosamine Chondrotin (again, spelling?). When I finish the bottle of the Sulfate I have, I'm going to try the Chondrotin and see what that does, if anything for my neck and back..

But maybe you could try either or and see if it helps you with that? Just a thought...

Age/getting old, aint it a biotch. (excuse my little bit of French) lol

TM, you're going to have to stop using that elbow until it gets better. Keep the pressure of it. Don't lean on it or anything, and don't go whacking into bathroom walls.

And don't just take ER visits as your primary care. You still need to follow up with your family doctor.

The closest thing I have to a family doc. is the orthopedic that I've been seeing for my shoulder, so I may set up an appt. with him as well, but I have no clue as to how I'm going to pay for all this with no ins.

Dude, That looks nasty,

there's gotta' be twenty cc or better in that elbow. As GM mentioned, try some glucosamine chondroitin. Don't know if it will help with bursitis, but it certainly can't hurt.

GM, the glucosamine chondroitin might help. I've got a buldged disk and a number of bone spurs in my neck, and the stuff helps. Bought the sulfate crudd once when the apothecary was out of the other, and wasn't a week before my neck and knees started bothering me again.
