Here's a coupe Oklahoma spoonbill. I cannot wait to get back out this spring, they run early, like spring break. The record is something like 121 lbs, so yea I know I caught the little ones. Maybe better luck this year.

16 inch Rainbow

Here is a 16 inch Rainbow I caught at Rampart Reservoir in Colorado. Caught him October 12 with a Daredevel lure. I think that was Biggest Rainbow I have pulled out of there. I wish I had a more exciting picture!

Same here, I am not waiting till spring though. Going to head out tomorrow morning and see if I can find a spot that isn't completely iced over.

If I manage to catch anything other then pneumonia I will post a pic.

Limit of fresh river-caught Coho Salmon. I STILL can't figure out how in the world they got the nickname "Silver Salmon". Beats me...

My son's first Steelhead at 2 years old! I am one PROUD Dad!!

A Bill Dance signature hook set begins yet another head to head battle with a pissed off Winter-Run Steelhead

Getting that Steelie close to shore

Almost got him into shore but he wasn't really interested in being caught. If only he knew I was going to release him maybe he would have cooperated.... This fish backs up the fact that Steelhead are THE world's fastest freshwater fish. Even though he weighed only 5lbs, this fish peeled the 14lb test line off my Calcutta 200TE reel with the drag set at 5lbs. And he did it fast enough to get this cool picture! I had to put the brakes on him with my thumb to keep him from diving head first into that downed tree! Whoever can guess how many fish I lost in that tree gets a prize.

I finally won the battle with the scrappy little Steelhead I was fighting from the pics above.

12lb King Salmon on a fly rod

Little Fall King Salmon Jack

Pink Salmon

7lb Dolly Varden/Sea-Run Bull Trout from my backyard, still in Pajamas haha

Limit of spring trout, one is a 24" brown trout

16lb Springer King Salmon

Big 20lb+ Chum Salmon. I usually don't keep these nasty tasting Salmon, but my Grandma is from northern British Columbia, so these are a delicacy to her. Another old picture but I wanted to post a variety of different fish.

10lb Winter-Run Steelhead lying next to my 13.5' Two-Handed 9/10wt Spey fly rod

22lb+ 40.5" Winter-Run Steelhead with a 4" Brad's Wiggler Magnum plug (aka crankbait for you Bass guys) in its mouth (A.K.A. Sea-Run Rainbow Trout)

And a vintage picture of me about 12 years ago at Lake McClure in California.

Steelhead in the bed of my truck. I forgot how big this one was. Probably only about 30" or so.

Little 18" Sea-Run Cutthroat Trout. I love how these little buggers fight! A 2lb Sea-Run Cutthroat fights as hard as a 7lb Salmon and they spend more time in the air than in the water.

Really pissed off Salmon.

15lb Summer-Run Steelhead

Fall King Salmon

Fall King Salmon

Man you have all the good stuff! Ive never hooked a salmon or really fly fished before. Thats my next step. I live 20 minutes from Castaic, Pyramid and Piru lake and I'm 20 minutes away from the surf and Marina Del Rey. Those lakes that I mentioned are monster bass producers. They feed on rainbow trout constantly! So we use 6-12" trout swimbaits.

Talking

This is a rare dwarf size fish. One fish of this species makes you feel like you've eaten a dozen... (Well..you may need about 100 of these). Luck was on my side when I finally was able to land this whopper.

Oxford, nice catch! Did you share any fillets with your friends and family?

I had a fishing friend who used to catch fingerling trout by the dozen and deep fry them whole, ungutted and eat them like fish sticks. Seemed kinda gross to me.

My fishing fever is gett'in high again...sunny days warm breezes. Can't wait to catch fish again.

Here's a picture of my grandson Cole(6 y.o.) and I enjoying a warm afternoon dragging in mostly crappie. Had to be at least 9" long to keep.

Next two pics are of a 22" channel cat I caught and later filleted. Sure was tasty, too.
