i wuldn't hesitate to use a .22 for self defense if your a good shot you can put anyone down with it and it's very easy to quiet down a .22 that way if you pop off one round to a guys face he ain't goin anyplace and his buddies won't even know where the shot came from because of the low muzzle blast. now if you cut loose with a big cannon gun then you will for sure tell eveyone for miles hey i'm over here come get me.

It's all Seven's fault...he resurrected this thread...I think we should throw some virtual rocks at him.

Don't need to hide. My daughter has my back. With her "bodaciously bona fide" Colt .22 Tactical Urban Rifle Defense System (TURDS.)

^LOL she does look deadly serious don't she! She's a cutie Seven...and I'll bet she'll be outshooting you soon (if she can't already) LOL although you don't set the bar too high!

Can that AR take a .223 upper when she gets older or is it .22LR only?

.22 only. When she gets older, I'll give her one of my AR's. I already have Cavalry Arms pink furniture for my DPMS. I just haven't put it on yet.

B.S. I know you bought that cotton-candy furniture for yourself! Ya probably have it on that AR right now!

I'm waiting for the "Supremely Viable" 10/22 to be used in a "MAJOR MOTION PICTURE". Maybe another Tremors or a Zombie movie....Maybe they will use it in the new Star Gate Universal....

I don't know about you guys but I kinda miss ol JMac. Opening one of his threads was like looking for the toy in Cracker Jacks, you never knew what you were going to find. In all seriousness he seemed to be just a young guy with not a lot of cash, but he was interested in surviving and I think thats all we all want to do. Maybe we should have had a little more patience with him. I know that he was opininated and argumentative, but at least he was thinking. I sure wish I was still young.
