drafting people over 60!!

Drafting Guys over 60

This one is really worth considering: Drafting Guys over 60.

This is so Funny & obviously written by a Former Soldier----

New Direction for any war: Send Service Vets over 60!

I am over 60 and the Armed Forces thinks I'm too old to track down terrorists.
You can't be older than 42 to join the military.
They've got the whole thing ass-backwards. Instead of sending 18-year olds off to
fight, they ought to take us old guys.
You shouldn't be able to join a military unit until you're at least 55.

Researchers say 18-year-olds think about sex every 10 seconds. Old guys only
think about sex a couple of times a week, leaving us more than 28,000 additional
seconds per day to concentrate on the enemy.

Young guys haven't lived long enough to be cranky, and a cranky soldier is a
dangerous soldier. 'My back hurts! I can't sleep, I'm tired and hungry' We are
impatient and maybe letting us shoot some asshole that desperately deserves it
will make us feel better and shut us up for a while.

An 18-year-old doesn't even like to get up before 10 a.m. Old guys always get up
early to pee so what the hell. Besides, like I said, 'I'm tired and can't sleep
and since I'm already up, I may as well be up shooting at some fanatical
son-of-a-bitch.

If captured we couldn't spill the beans because we'd forget where we put them.
In fact, name, rank, and serial number would be a real brainteaser.

Boot camp would be easier for old guys. We're used to getting screamed and
yelled at and we're used to soft food. We've also developed an appreciation for
guns. We've been using them for years as an excuse to get out of the house,

away from the screaming and yelling.

They could lighten up on the obstacle course however.
I've been in combat and didn't see a single 20-foot wall with rope hanging over
the side, nor did I ever do any pushups after completing basic training.
Actually, the running part is kind of a waste of energy, too. I've never seen
anyone out run a bullet.

An 18-year-old has the whole world ahead of him. He's still learning to shave,
to start up a conversation with a pretty girl. He still hasn't figured out that a

baseball cap has a brim to shade his eyes, not the back of his head.

These are all great reasons to keep our kids at home to learn a little more
about life before sending them off into harm's way.

Let us old guys track down those dirty rotten coward terrorists. The last thing
an enemy would want to see is a couple of million pissed off old farts with
attitudes and automatic weapons who know that their best years are already
behind them.

If nothing else, put us on border patrol....we will have it secured the first night!

Share this with your senior friends. It's purposely in big type so they can read it.

Very true too, the most dangerous thing I can imagine with a gun is my grandfather! My other grandpa is so hunched over from having a bad back that he wouldn't even have to crawl under the barbed wire.

42???? It used to be 32.... (at least when I served) guess the war isn't going that well. I just turned 50 and with the exception of running real fast (to save my ass) I'll bet I could hit more targets and embarrass us less than the troops in this war. Only problem is... I wouldn't be fighting this war. Not for any price. I'd rather be a Walmart greeter. So shoot me during a blue light special... or wait... is that KMart... hell, I can't remember.

Hey, over 60 guys are up several times each night going to pee so they could pull guard duty with no problem.

I think the age limit is 37. There is a ring of truth to this post. There are many of us older guys that would love to help defend our country again.

It sounds like a great idea to me and if the Government doesn't want to do that then arm us and put us along the Mexican border with no stupid rules of engagement. If illegals cross the boarder they will be arrested or shot if they resist. The body count would go up for a few months until the illegals decided that the U.S. is actually enforcing this policy. The drug runners would continue to try to cross using larger numbers of people who would be better armed. They would have to be shot as they would not surrended to face the drug charges.

I don't think there would be a need to start the draft again, drafting individuals over 60.. I believe that about 110% of us who already served would do it again...Right, guys and gal??? I was 11B then 13A back in 1970.. The 11B would hurt the old body some but I KNOW I can still load and fire a howitzer...

I'm 58 and I would enlist in a minuet if I could. I really don't know why they don't take us old farts to drive supply trucks, cook, do maintenance ect. that would free up more of the younger troops for battle. not that I don't think we can't fight either.

Freaking Hilarious! They should put mounted guns on walkers or those Rascal motorized chairs... that might be the way to go.

Thanks for posting this Tommy. I just sent it off to my First Sergeant and Sergeant Major..... I sure hope they are in a good mood today.

They've been riding me pretty hard about "numbers" for re-enlistment this quarter...maybe this will get me some breathing room.

In a heartbeat!! Count me in. I've seen fellas stay in, these days, with much worse damage than I had. But they gave me the boot, because I wasn't 100%. I can't run like the wind, anymore, but can still hit the target, and I'm a pretty good cook, and I can remember how to drive a truck, or bus, or about anything else. I tried for four months, to get them to let me reenlist, and might as well have been talking to a wall. The only person who listened to me, was thedetailer for my specialty, at BUPERS, in DC. He told me to get into a reserve battalion, and he would have me on active duty in a week. But the red tape beat me.

I would love to go serve my Country again. Either in the war or at the border.
BUT.......
I am afraid my first target would be the "embeded media". I don't think they work for the good of America. They spend (what seems to me) too much time condeming our war efforts and not reporting the advancements made by our side.
People die in war and you can't fight a war without making someone mad.

i don't think there should be an age limit period . i'm sure they could find a place for anyone if they really looked hard enough.

me too it's just them 19 year olds must be slow cause i think about it every two seconds. did anyone ever think about how the lightbulb killed sex life?? i mean think about it back in the day when all they had was a candle the families had like 12/13 kids . then came the lightbulb it was very dim at first but it did start to cut back on the kids being born. and every year they make a brighter and brighter light bulb and the number of kids per family are shrinkin. i was thinkin if i was to do away with all them sex killing eddison inventions in my house maybe the sex life would return.
