400 Cor Bon

FAC has conversion barrels to turn 1911s in 45 to 400 Cor Bon. Does that mean that 400 Cor Bon is based on the same case and has such similar properties that a barrel change is all you need? Anyone use 400 Cor Bon and like or hate it?
And does the conversion work alright in the 1911?

The conversions usually work fine. However, sometimes you have to have them worked on to make them work properly.
As far as what the .400 CorBon is, it's the .45 ACP necked down to accept .40 bullets. I like the cartridge, and have a Springfield .45 set up for that caliber.
Outside of the barrel, you don't need anything else. Mags and recoil springs are the same, too.
