Well I'd always stick with an 1911, but probably the Sig Sauer. What kinds of funds are you working with?

Out of those options? I would go Sig.

Of those listed, the Sig. Of those not listed, I agree with squirrelbaster, CZ-75 of Witness. Of those two, I'd pick the Witness, more options.

Have Sig 220. I'd go with the Sig--great reliable and accurate pistol.

Good luck !

If you have money. Springfield Armory 1911, Kimber 1911, STI Spartan, Sig Sauer etc.

If not, Ruger etc.

If funding were no object, the Sig. Otherwise Ruger, which is what I did. I like my P89 very much. Very reliable and accurate.

Does your range rent them all? Do you have any buddies who own any of the guns you named? The best way would be to rent or use a buddies and shoot them. A gun I might like you might hate and a gun you might like I might hate. Doesn't make either a bad gun it's all about personal preference.

Ruger makes a GREAT revolver but their autos leave a lot of room for improvement. Sig is great. Styers are excellent but tough to get parts if you ever do need to work on them. Any S&W other than Sigma will be good. Glock is good and very easy to get parts for. The DEA is going to start issuing Springfield Armory soon so they will be very easy to get parts for and they are a great gun. If you can handle the price tag Colt will be the best. KAHR is another good one and very easy to hide when carrying but another that might be tough to get worked on. When I buy a gun I think long term so availability of parts is a big concern. That is the nice thing with S&W, Colt or Springfield Armory. They have been around hundreds of years and aren't going anywhere so parts will always be available. That is a gun you can leave to your grand children.

Best way to choose is by deciding what one you like when you shoot. I've read a lot of your postings and you seem to know your guns. I doubt you would select crap. Now it's just a matter of what feels good when you shoot it. Dick has some good points about parts though. I have a friend who has a Styer and loves it but is having a hell of a time trying to just buy a spare magazine. Imagine if he were looking for a firing pir or a trigger. You know your stuff, use your judgement based on your experience. It's you who will be shooting it for years to come. If it were up to me, Springfield all the way.
