Veterans and Enlisted, .....Are We Welcome Here, Too?

Maybe it's just me, but it seems to be open season on the military and it's veterans as of late. Too many posts and threads just disappearing into the Black Hole of Calcutta! My avatar has been tampered with and while I used to feel at home on this forum, I'm not so sure, anymore. People that actually contribute something to the forum are gone or banned. Non-contributers are allowed to say what they want with seemingly no reprisal. Political threads on the Powder Keg are considered anything that folks get impassioned over. I used to look forward to getting on line here and chewing the fat, but the forum has become so politically correct that you can't speak your peace, anymore. If anyone knows of a Vets and "old codgers" forum, let us know. We'll go where we are wanted and appreciated and we'll take our money, too.

Hmmm, I posted the Fox News story, this evening on the Powder Keg Thread of the (2) missing U.S. soldiers, who were recently found executed in Iraq. Wonder where that story went??? Into the Black Hole of Calcutta, too....maybe???

Don't you be talkin' like that BroBo! I like having you around. The P.C. train will run out of track because we don't have enough Chinamen to build it! Ooops, did I actually type that, I can't remember, damn Alzhiemers....

I haven't seen any threads deleted as of late?

I only ask that political threads be posted in the Political Forum. When I moved threads into the political forum, but some complained. Now we lock them and leave them alone...it's the same thing. I'm feeling like I'm damn if I do, and damned if I don't.

No one has played with your avatar, unless it was when the forum was having some image issues....?

I'm sorry you feel that way Bob, and I'd do anything I can do to help out. I don't pretend to have all the answers, but I will hear what you are saying. I'm just a Private Message away.

Thumbs down

I'm getting damn tired of vets and our military catching nine kinds of Hell from the deadbeat computer geeks that sit in their comfy chairs and tell us how wrong we are or how stupid we are to have served or serve our country! If they don't have the intestinal fortitude to do what's right and honorable, I'd just as soon they keep their mouths shut and let the real men and women defend our country! This reminds me of the people that bitch about the government, yet don't vote! We are paying or have paid our dues! A simple, "thank you for serving our country" would be nice, but we are being silenced, instead! I find this reprehensible and so do others like me!

Seriously Bob...?!?!

I have the highest respect for someone who has served our military. I can't say I understand your thread at all.

The last post is exactly why I don't care for political topics in an open forum. Use your blog.
