NEW YORK — Bobby Murcer, a five-time All-Star outfielder who spent nearly four decades with the New York Yankees as a player, executive and announcer, died. He was 62.

He was a big part of my growing up, being an avid NY Yankee fan. He was more than a ballplayer though, he was a good man, a great husband and father, and an awesome friend to many....I always enjoyed watching him play, and then listening to him announce the games on YES...he will be greatly missed...
