Geek stuff

I was wondering if anyone else would like to see a computer/technical aka Geek forum here on G&G? I think it would come in handy for beginners and experts alike. Im sure there are enough techy folks here to answer just about any question. BTW, IMHO geek is no longer an insult but simply a slang term. I consider myself somewhat of a geek!

I would agree that it is a good idea, but isn't that what the Tech Bench Forum is for ??

Ive read some tech blogs out there and they usually are for uber-geeks and they tend to berate anyone with a beginner question. I know that the nice folks here wouldn't do that.

i dont think anyone here would do that, this is by far the best forum there is. i think its funny when i ask a question about computers that i seriously have no clue about to someone who knows all about them and they look at me like an idiot lol.

There are some pretty tech savvy members here and cause they own guns, they`ve got to be great people so I reckon this is an idea with real traction.

I've built, repaired, and trouble-shot my fair share of computers. I wouldn't mind helping anyone (or trying to help) with a question or two

Being a computer geek is a compliment nowadays...as is being a gun geek.

....and, with how often we all use computers in our gun and game activities, I would be glad to see a computer geek forum.

Soon, it'll also be very cool to be a survival geek...

I know a thing or two about PC's and geek stuff so I would love to help out anyone I could. I also could use help on some more advanced subjects and I think there are enough "geeks" here to field just about any questions. So does anyone know what we have to do to get one started?
