when no shots are available?

Meningococcal Disease (Meningitis) the infection of the fluid surrounding the brain and spine at risk toddlers to 19

Whooping Cough (Pertussis) severe coughing spells, vomiting, weight loss, cracked rib's,pneumonia, incontinence.

Diptheria (thick covering in back of throat) Heart problems, paralysis, breathing problems

Lock Jaw (Tetanus) 2 in 10 cases end in death, painful tightening of musles all over the body.

Some of these little doosies would ruin your day.
Keep current on your shots, and keep those teeth in good order so when the SHTF nyou can coast a little.

Undalent feaver is from drinking milk from cattle infected by Brucellosis a common disease in all wildlife.

Parasites are another when all that food wont keep as it should.
Salmon are loaded with tape worms and freezing wont kill them they have survivrd storage of -40F and re-animated when warmed up . they will die when heated to over 160F

The State of Alaska Deptartment of Fish and Game publishes a field guide to common Wildlife Diseases and Parasites in Alaska
6 of the external skin
2 of the head
5 of internal organs
3 of muscle
8 classified in a general catagory.

Sounds to me like evolution in humans will restart :P .

But, that would suck to get any of those!

Good post,Rex. Sometimes we get too wrapped up in how many bullets we have in our BOB ( I know I do ! ), but its also good to remember that we need to stay healthy and functional. I take medication for a seizure disorder, and its controlled only if Im taking the medicine. I have a 15 day supply set back for emergencies and need more.

The fact is I was reminded to bring my daughter down to get her booster shots and that's when all this came to mind.
Everything mentiond is the "every day stuff" that is around us and will eat your lunch If not prepaired, with a SHTF situation the availability of clinics and hospitals would be over burdened more than they are now or non-existant.
I dont believe a little Iodine solution or sulpha powder is going to help
Allot of non-imunized illeagals distributed all over the country (our greed to turn a buck may be our un-doing)are carrying all sorts of ills just wateing to infect the
public, dipthera, cholera are some of the wretched diseases that were prevalant in the old day's and would re-surface soon enough in a non-regulated society.
May just be that a bullet will never find you those little buggies will get ya first.
And to think as late as the 1880's they still had yellow fever in the Ohio river valley.

I've watched many times on the Food Channel where they hardly cook Salmon or they serve it raw.
If it's wormy why do they do that ?

There is some interesting work analyzing the

early census data of the U.S. In the 1815-1820 period the median age
(half above and half below) of America was 16 years of age. Only one in six people were alive beyond the age of 46. A woman with three live births could reasonably expect to die in her 30's.

That is what the world would be like without the injections we have for diseases and infection. Possibly, we could fare a little better due to knowing about cleanliness and sterilization but pandemics would still occur.

Tell your MD you're going to the Sudan and need shots. When he's through you'll have had shots for nearly every sickness on earth.
During the SE Asia War, Soldiers and Marines would have their families send'm a package of worming meds for dogs. They'd take'm according to their weight and when they'd recovered they were free of parasites, mostly.

The little fella back home who used to operate the county road grader in our township was as thin as a whip one morning he coughed up a 17"tape worm at the breakfast table "WWII pacific theater vet" ate some under cooked pork & fish back in the day. The Vetrnarian here say's not to feed our dog's uncooked Salmon or Caribou trimmings there full of parasites.
Tularemia is a interesting bacterium (most common in Interiour) "there are two major cycles"
First cycle on land and is spread by Snowshoe Hare by ticks during the spring & summer.
Second cycle occurs in water, Beaver & muskrats are primary hosts. Infected animals die in a slough, pond or lake, as the carcass decomposes, large numbers of bacteria are released into the water.Susceptible animals, humans are exposed when they drink or swim in the water. Tularemia causes enlargement of some internal organs "Liver &Spleen" critters infected are easy prey and can infect dog's easily.
Typical human contact is when gutting Hare's Muskrats & Beaver.

Worms! You Bet Ya!

You Narpin Aay they got tapeworms! and not just in one season but the last four seasons and not isolated to one batch, the last batch of salmon I put up had tapeworms in 7 out of 11 of them.every batch I did had at least 10 to 60% tapeworm infestation!
I hadent seen it personally but there had been word here in town (OTZ) that there are some tapies showing up in the white fish too.

Sounds like the beginning of a dangerous spread of this parasite.

Go to www.newcenturypress and get the book by Hulda Clark called the cure for all diseases. She has a circuit you can build to zap pathogens and parasites. It will even kill anthrax and small pox. All pathogens have a frequency. Easy to build. It works. Now products makes a wormwood, cloves and 'green" black walnut hulls tincture will knock out parasites. Here's another link: www.oneradiostation.com It is a holistic medical forum.
