Hold it don't jump on Dale! I was the one and I said I used the noisey stereo's which were breaking the law as probable cause to stop a driver for a violation -- by the way the majority of the stops were white kids and I'm white. It just happened that 3 of about 200 stops there were some illegals who gave me false ID. Giving false ID to a cop in PRK is a felony, felonies mean deportation. I did not say just illegals or lowriders.

Experiment
imagine you are a cop and you are able to do some traffic enforcement. You are primarily looking for individuals with warrants against them to get something better than a bothersome traffic ticket out of. 10 cars pass you and they are in various states disrepair of the cars or the way they are all driven, which one are you going to choose to pull over? (remeber you have a legal reason to pull all 10 cars over) common sense would be to pick the one that fits the profile of the average person you have been seeing for the past few years with the warrants.

I actually had a call once where it was an affluent white populated neighborhood and the lady was complaining a black male was walking through the neighborhood looking at houses. We were dispatched to find the guy walking along the street in a business suit - last we checked there was no crime against walking down a street we didn't even stop him when we contacted the caller she said she called because he was black. Both my partner and myself informed her of her wasting our departments limited resources for her profiling a man that wasn't doing anything as a criminal.

I agree profiling can be used responsibly and I only ever used it that way -- If the illegals were to have id'd themselves to me with their real identity and tell me they didn't have licenses they would have walked away like many others did.

Yep, Lanny, the manufactures have spent countless dollars to design a 4x4 vehicle to have high ground clearance and also be somewhat safe and ride fairly comfortable...Then along comes gross intellegence and drops it within 2" of the ground, and calls it "next generation progress".

With all the liability concerns in this country, how about that Mazda "zoom, zoom" commercial that touts its sport utility's sports car lineage, then shows the thing being driven in a manner that is dangerous and negligent for these types of vehicles...sure enough, some idiot will try it...can we say "LAWSUIT!"...somebody ought to wake Mazda's legal dept. up!

Shaun You are RIGHT only if it is used responsibly. I have seen people pulled over for no other reason than because they were of a specific minority or age group and then the 3 car drug search begins only to have the car leave in 5 minutes when it is apparent there is nothing in there. I have myself (as a white teenager) been pulled over and searched for no reason. Oh did I mention that I was in tyhe back seat and I waved to the cops as we drove by. I guess that means I'm packing drugs.

I am not anti law enforcement and I do support responsible police action. Do I think cops sometimes go over the line. Yes but they are human and I also think that the majority are good except the few bad apples.

My post was meant as a joke that is why I said it. If I really thought you to be a bigot I would have said a lot more. If Dale had aproblem then he should have confronted me about it instead of alluding to the fact that I am a bigot and then running off and hiding behind the ignore feature.

I had one of them cross the highway in front of my Dodge diesel,He was spinning ,and I t-boned him in the passenger side,the vehicle wasn't as wide as the drivers seat when it was done.Thank God he lived,he only had cuts and bruises.His angel was watching out for him,that day!
