Happy Birthday. Enjoy, for you probably won't notice much change until you hit 55.

Windwalker's right, 55 is when the body grunts, so watch out for salt, it slips up on you. Keep in shape with a bike or other method, and watch what you eat. You are only 44, so you can still keep in shape.

Enjoy it while you can! Just wait till you hit 55 thats when I knew I had lost the bloom of youth. Ain't nothing wrong with that I just do things a little smarter and a little slower now.

Happy birthday, from another of the 55 crew. Yep, I wish I could remember how nice it was to be 44! Everything finally caught up, and fell right on top!

Sheeeet you're all getting me more & more worried every minute now! I'm still doing the same things at 55 now as I did at 44, and doing them better or at least just as good!

Sorry about the worry, it prob'ly don't apply to you, wunhunglo. I got badly damaged, when I was 23, and it took a while to get over it. But I did, and went back to work, and thought no more about it. When things started falling apart, they did so with a vengence. I have dealt with pain, all my life, but lately, it's gotten almost to the unbearable stage. I just consider it part of growing old, but it's been a bit worse for me, than most. I still enjoy life, it just means going a little bit slower. The other fellas on here, who are our age, and have been thru bad injuries, know what I'm talking about. It does slow one down!

Turned 49 in march (never thought I'd make it that far)

Lucky for me I look younger...most think I'm 35 or so.

My dad was the same way...I look at other people my age and some of them look 60!

I try to think young...have positive thoughts...listen too all music old AND new...listen to alot of alternative music...White stripes...Disturbed...P.O.D. Beck....etc.

Age is all in the mind.

Now I'm worried too Wun !! I will be 53 on 1 AUG. My tired old butt took a beating in the Army. Now my eyesight is failing, I CRS, and when I get up in the morning I have to look and see if everything got up with me, LOL !! But life is still grand !! I still go out in the A.M. and have my cup of joe on the deck, with my old buddy wagging his tail right beside me.
