Im sick of summer!!

Man, Im so tired of the stupid summer weather!!! We've actually had a relatively mild one but the last few days have been brutal. Temps between 95 and 100 with heat indexes 105 degrees and up. Even the breeze is hot. On top of that, the mosquitos are brutal this year. I'd love to be somewhere on vacation where the temps are about 65 for a high!!!

What's summer weather like where you live?

We got here in late September...it was hot as hell then too. We actually hit 30 for a low 2 days straight in December though......then a month later we were right back up into the 90s.

But it's a dry heat....

and thank you for the "thank you"

Sounds like . . .

you're a good candidate for one of the group who has a motor home
so they can move north with summer (in some cases to Canada) then south as winter comes on.

Texas Panhandle has been its usual up and down weather ride since early June. After a cooler
and wetter July so far we are moving back into the hot zone.

I think it hit ninety, here on the hill, a couple times. The humidity has been up, but I ain't complaining, I was awful tired of winter. I had to replace the drive belt on my lawn tractor, yesterday, and was soaked, when I finished the job. Well, the grass hadn't been mowed in nearly two weeks, so I got after it. I stayed nice and cool, in my sweat soaked clothes! Durn near froze to death!

The past 2 days we barely got into the 100s. I had a hard time finding a jacket.

92 degrees with sunny skies, low lake levels, and ground as dry as the desert.

I can't complain here in Fort Collins, CO. I grew up in St. Louis where we had weather like you, hot and humid as all get out. Now in Fort Collins it can get to 98*-100* but there is little humidity. And if I get too hot, I go to the Poudre River 5 minutes from my house walking and jump off the rope swing or tube down it after work. Or just drive up to Horsetooth Reservoir and take a dip in that or just go hiking in the mountains around 7,000-12,000 feet where it is much, much cooler.

80* to 90* on average right now. Usually it gets hot and then in the afternoon (every afternoon) like clock work it clouds up and then we have a thunderstorm for about 1 hour to cool things down. But not this year. It clouds up and you hear the thunder but no rain!

Funny thing about summer heat. When I lived in Vegas the summer days were about 110* to 118* but it was like an "oven" heat (and dry). Here in the Rockies at 6300' above sea level, 90* will burn you bad, it's like "microwave" heat. I burn quicker here than in Vegas.

At 55, all I can afford to get is a "farmer's" tan. I don't think I would survive another sunburn! But so far, this year, it's been livable, here in the great state of OK!

Billy, where I live, it's anything but "mediocre"! We're on the extreme west end of the Ozarks, and got every kind of critter you can imagine, up to and including a "bigfoot" or three. The hunting is great, the weather is tolerable, and the homestead is pretty darn remote. The only thing I miss is the smell of the pine forest, early in the morning. Hardwood trees just don't have that wonderful aromatic scent!

Seabees, that part of OK is a very pretty place in deed! I live in South eastern Wisconsin and we have a bit of forest here and there. But nothing beats a pine forest for the sweet smell of the morning!

Well, Billy. The last time I heard you lived at 1232 feet. I think you need to stop breaking wind so close to your kerosene heater.
