We hope to get some rain out of this storm but I do feel for folks who get a Hurricane.
One of the things from my childhood that I'll always remember:
West of town, Texas City, there was a pasture where a guy kept a herd of ponies. I always wanted one of those little horses. Anyway when they let us back into town after the storm we drove by that pasture. All of those ponies, maybe 18 of'm, had gotten up against a barbed wire fence, maybe trying to get away. They were everyone drowned and hanging up on the barbed wire. It sure made an impression on me. It's one of those things that sticks with ya.
Hurricanes are nothing to play with.
