Be careful with the fried plantains, T˛.

Fried banana and PB sammiches was the shit that killed Elvis.

Not fried banana, fried plantain...it's different lol. I wouldn't eat it with PB either. Maybe with some arroz con gandules. Now that would be a nice meal.

I have had to get "low country" in my cooking due to rising prices for food. Damn, I hate it when I have to have red beans cooked with smoked neck bones, cornbread, dirty rice, and sweet potato pie !! Talk about making a puppy pull a freight train !! Oooooooooh Weeeeeeee !! Tomorrow I am having leftover beans with leftover rice, and some super spicy homemade Italian sausage uncased and sauteed. Add some onyuns and some diced garlic and watch out. Will probably have to eat it with left over biscuits as cornbread don't stand a chance in this house !! I have 55 lbs of filet and steaked King Salmon in the freezer (I think you guys call it Chinook). My wife is going outside next weekend, so I'll add a Huge King Ranch T-Bone and a good salad with homemade French bread. Eat a big portion of salmon and 1/2 the steak. Then steak, onion and mushroom omelette the next AM with some 45 year old starter sourdough biscuits. All of this instead of asian fusion, Italian, and other ethnic meals we love so much but can no longer afford.

I just had the steamed lice & beef stroganoff and veggies for lunch........can't remember the other choices on the menu now but the catering crew have to cater for Westerners, Indians, Pakistanis, Philipinos, Singaporeans, Canucks, national Africans and a few more besides so the menu is always varied and sometimes even a challenge! Hardest part of working in the Overseas Oil Industry is controlling your weight.

I'm not sure yet. I'm going to fry one batch in oil and the other in butter.

Had a big lunch after my Uncle's fumeral so I skipped supper. I had 2 bits of my wife's ice cream though, and went to bed early.

I once asked the Chef at a camp that question, "what's for dinner?"; his reply, "Shiite, but beautifully cooked!". He was right!

I have some chicken left over from last nights dinner. So now I'm going to warm it up, shred it and put it in a hot tortilla with some hot salsa for breakfast... yum!
