I like working dogs. If all they do is eat and poop they gotta go. You know hollywood dogs. Like the ones owned by the Paris Hilton types. In "my world" there are only two types of dogs, those that will help you get food in an emergency...and those that become food in an emergency.

"A puppy is not just for Christmas!"

You can have them for Thanksgiving, Easter or maybe just an ordinary Sunday Lunch! Chow! (ever wondered where the word came from???)

Billy...I like how you're unbiased, and not holding back about your love/hate for cats and dogs. You do try to be fair and that's what's important here as a mod.

People who don't like dogs need to spend some time with a shrink.

Life's too short to live it without a dog. I just wish theirs weren't so short.

Smile buddies

rebel727: Sir; I totally agree with your statement. I've buried some of my best of the best buddies in the back yard. Keeps them close to me.

I say prayers that maybe one day we can get back together and chase the night.

At least you can bury them in your back yard. I had a friend in Washington state (Walla-walla) and she told me they were not permitted to bury their dead pets in their back/front yards. She just did some midnight gardening when one of her cats died!

I buried Magnum in my back yard. Not sure if it's legal or not but it's my back yard and it keeps him close to the family. Buffy likes to poop on his grave... not sure what that's about.

Yep. For me and my wife, a dog starts at 100lbs and runs up to 230 or so.

My grand-uncle raised and bred Dobermans as guard dogs and my wife's family bred and showed mastiffs. They even had an AKC Grand Champion in their kennel.

S'why we have a cat right now. No room for a real dog.

Bunnies ya they might be awesome until someone accidentally mistakes them for food not a pet.
