Unhappy A sad day at Nellis AFB.

I don't know if this was on the national news or not.
Today during Red Flag excercises out of Nellis AFB an F-15D went down. The aircraft was with the 66th aggressor squadron at Nellis. One crew member died in the accident while the other is in stable condition. I hate hearing about pilots dying. Especially those in uniform. My prayers are going out to his family.

In the bombing range? I used to live in the Orchards on Sunrise Mountain just south of Nellis...

Loved watching the F-22s.

Capt. I also live here in Las Vegas and It is a very sad and unfortunate situation for the AFB and the family. May God be with the pilots and the families during this time of tragedy.

May the Lord reach down, and touch them with a loving hand, and bring peace to their hearts. May he bring another defender home to his reward. My heart goes out to those who have lost a family member, and to those who have lost a comrade. May God comfort them all, in their timeof loss.

A sad loss.
A Warrior has to train hard and often to be able to fight hard and win. Sometimes the training comes with a loss, hopefully something good will come from this tragedy.

I have the upmost respect for our military. I feel the hurt every time one passes. I can think of no more noble way to go than to give your life for your country. May God wrap his arms around this heroic person. ( anyone in the military is my hero)

What?!

I didn't hear about this. I'm in Vegas, not really terribly far from it.

Then again, I had some gruesome network issues all day.

Dammit. Poor guy.

Nellis brings in some of the "Best of the Best". Most of Nevada is government training areas. I remember hearing some of the bombing training going on. When we were going to go to Kuwait, the military built mock cities that looked like Kuwait for training. The boys in Nevada are mean and serious. God Bless our warriors.

That is sad to hear. Most folks don't realize that many of your service members put their life on the line every day they go to work.
