That is a good price. I paid $699 for a two tone, but probably paid more because of where and when I bought it. If I had the bucks, I would recommend getting one. Save the difference from what I paid and get some ammo.

Most excellent. I saw that yesterday and wished I didn't want the duo tone which runs up to $699 around these parts. Got plenty of time as I have other pistols to shoot for the time being. I believe that if I am patient enough I will find what I want for a hundred bucks less. Keeping my fingers crossed for now.

Waiting here too. I already have an XD .40 in subcompact so I am in no rush but I sure do want one.

Yeah, instant gratification always costs me a lot of extra money. I am trying to take a different approach now and trying to develope some patience.

Don't know, but they now have an Olive Drab XDm in .40. And I think there are some holster companies coming out with items for the XDm. I'm interested in the .45, the 9mm, and also in the compact models. I'm sure they will come. Also, I got my NRA magazine a couple of days ago and it had the new XDm on the cover with a great article. Later, B

I was just looking at the XDM tonight at my local Gunshop. They have it for $625 which really seemed like a great price when you factor in the package with the extra clip, holster, clip holster, cleaning supplies and extra grips. This seems like a no-brainer and will most likely be my next addition.

I found it at the Orlando gun show for...$540 and I never made it back on Sunday to buy it. The show's coming back in October so hopefully I'll find it again.

I spoke with Springfield on Wednesday and the only answer they would give is: Fairly Soon.

... fair enough, thanks a lot. We're replacing my wife's Sig Sauer P230SL (380 Auto) with the Springfield, so IF anyone is interested, let me know.
