I am having trouble getting my slide stop to go all the way in on my Springfield armory GI series 45? What am I doing wrong?

Welcome from Minnesota!
Not sure if it's necessary, but on some of mine, the mag has to be removed.

Welcome to G&G. If you have it at the take "down notch" where it goes in, maybe your barrel link is not in the right position for the pin to go through it. Also, depress the plunger pin when putting it back in. Don't use anything steel doing this or you will scratch the finish. Directions should be in chapter four of your manual.

You have to be certain that the barrel link is in the correct position. Also be certain that while pushing in the pin, you have the slide pulled back slightly so that the pin will follow into the take down notch. Reading the owners manual will likely solve most issues of this nature that you will have. If you do not have an owners manual, I believe that you can download one in PDF format for your specific model.

Welcome to G&G!

I don't know the answer to your question, bit I love the username - does it have anything to do with the digestive system?
