Taking a Quad ride.

Was getting a little bored last week so i strapped the camera on my neck and snapped a few shots just down the dirt road in front of my house.

Picture 4 shows a fence post and ridge, my house is smack dab in the middle of the tree line over that hill. This is not my property, it is the old farmers that would take you 45 minutes to drive around to see all. Even that we are friends i have never asked him to hunt there. They are scared if they let one hunter, many more would take advantage. I respect that synopsis, but ya know there is a lot of game there justa going to waste. They are too busy farming and never hunt themselves. I was just happy they let the grandson, friend and myself shoot the 50 cal at milk jugs that was in picture #5. last year.

My wife has been tracing my family geneology(sp) and found out some of my German ancestors settled in Pennsylvania.

Ya don't have ta go very far from home, but as i said the farmers don't take a likin when they catch ya steppin to close. I hunt the back yard, there are about 6 acres that ya can't see the neighbors for a few miles. I have taken two big six points there but now with the restriction on antlers i go to a farm that burned down in 1965. It is about 8 miles away and so much land that ya rarely see anyone. My wife's friend at work owns it now, it was left to her in a will. 150 acres and many gas wells. The farmers grandson and i have purchased some pheasants and quail about 100 each and set them on there way a few months ago,i sure hope they make it up my way when the season comes in.LOL..i like them feathered raskels in the oven lickity split.......Where abouts were your family located in PA?

Thank You for viewing all................
