Just purchased my first 1911 45

I just purchased my first Springfield Armory 1911 Stainless Loaded model. What sights do you guys recommend that dont require any machining. The pistol I bought just has regular fixed sights and I would like to put night sights on it. Also how about after market grips to replace the checkered cocobola grips that came on it. Do the wraparound grips add much size to the hand hold. Thanks for any info!

But why would you want to replace those gorgeous cocobola grips? Go ahead and put the night sights on it. Try a Novak rear sight. You might try having it NP3 treated by Robar Industries, internally as well as externally. This prevents the stainless from galling and really slicks up the action. Anyway, enjoy your new shooter.
