| The Wrong Guy Wins The Election. What Gun Will You Buy First?
I don't give a hoot whether you support the Republican candidate or the Democratic candidate or the Libertarian candidate or the Green candidate or the Metal Munching Moon Mice candidate. Let's get that clear at the start. But whoever you support, let's say someone you don't support wins. Now, none of them is Simon-pure on the Second Amendment. A few of them are in bed with the anti-gunners. It's likely the Congress will be at least as anti-gun as it is now. It's possible that they'll send the President a new gun ban bill even worse than the Clinton gun ban of 1994; and that whoever is in the Oval Office, the bill will either be signed into law or the President's veto overridden and the bill become a law that way. So: on November 5th, you may be in the market for a gun to add to your gun safe. Something you want to get while you still can, before the inmates take over the Washington asylum. Which gun would it be, and why? I'll start. I want a Hi-Point Model 4595 .45 ACP carbine. They should be on the market by then. Hi-Point makes ugly but utterly reliable guns that are very accurate and easy to maintain. And their customer service is second to none. If I can't have a 4595, I'll settle for a Model 995 in 9mm Luger. It won't hit as hard, but it's every bit as good. So: What will YOU be in the market for? |

I'd most likely go for a Ruger mini 14 or 30. I'm positive I wouldn't rush out on the 5th to buy because the next prez won't be swore in that soon and any policy changes would take place sometime after that. But I would keep a keen eye out for a good deal.

I'd like an '86 clone in maybe .45-90 but I kinda think these won't be banned until, if, all guns are banned. Quote:

How about a part two to the question: If the right candidate , in your personal view, wins what will you go buy? (I base this on the Heller vs DC victory that spurred many, like myself, to purchase firearms) For me if the wrong fellow wins I'll likely go for a Ruger Mini and if the right one wins maybe I'll finally pull the trigger, so to speak, and get my Ruger LCP. |

Got what I want, just more ammo. If it's time to bury them it's time to use them

StevensJ2, funny answer! Stalebiscuit: For me it would be the PS2 and all my Nintendo's. (Only because I don't own an X Box yet) The picture of that young man shooting the SKS sure makes me want to clean the cosmo off mine and get it to the range. But like mentioned above I need more ammo and I suspect those SKS's eat like Rosie O'Donnel at a $3.95 all you can eat seafood buffet! |

It took about 25 seconds to go through 30 rounds. Not a tight group, but they all hit the target. That's my boy. Oh yeah, $5.29 for 20 rounds of Wolf 7.62x39mm. She eats like a pig. |
