Question Primer dents off center

I notice when I pickup my brass at the range, after shooting my SS Champ, the primer dents are not on center. It shoots accurately, never malfunctions, but I was wondering about the dents. Maybe a gun smith can answer why it does this. Also there is a small dark powder spot on the middle of my slide release pin. Maybe I shouldn't worry about it. But I'm still curious why this happens.

I wouldn't worry about the off-center strikes, it's pretty common. Most of the guns that I've looked at that did this had either an oversized firing pin hole or had had several thousands of rounds through them. As long as the primers look normal other than that, they'll be fine. If you notice "cratering" where the primer metal is flowing back into the primer hole, have it checked by a 'smith as this can lead to a pierced primer.

Do they go bang every time you pull the trigger? Then don't worry about it.
