Ordered a new toy today

I have been wanting a Taurus model 62 stainless pump carbine in .22 LR. Taurus took over Rossi and started making the model 62, with some improvements. Better grade stocks, a locking safety,SS, etc. Then to my surprise, they discontinued making them.
For a while I could not find one for sale online. I had a Rossi pump .22, that my dad bought me many years ago. I loved that gun, and put thousands of rounds through it. I think that is why my hearing sucks. I never wore ear protection as a kid. I loved the sound "Crack" a .22 makes.
That Rossi was in the trunk of my car years ago when the car was stolen, When the police found the car the gun was gone from the trunk. Maybe its just fond memories of plinking as a kid. I have been watching the listings on "Gun Broker" and found one. "New in box". I paid the "buy it now" price, rather than bid on it. I am looking forward to getting it. I have lots of .22 rifles, but that one my dad gave me has been missed. I plan to carry it around the farm and shoot the heck out of it.~JJ~

good for you JJ I have one that I bought for my daughter. Its in a 23 inch barrel and SS. loved it so much that when my next girl was born I got her one but in a 17hmr. so they both could have pump guns for plinking with.

I have one of the Rossi model-59 pumps and love it. Mine is in new condition and I plan to keep it that way.

I've been wanting a companion stainless steel pump by Taurus so I'm not too happy to hear it's been discontinued.

The Taurus model-63 auto is another toy I want someday.

One of the most interesting Taurus rifles is the Model-62 lever which is really not a copy of any Winchester production gun but it sure has that classic Winchester "Look" with beautiful lines. It looks a little sleeker than my Winchester 9422.

Over the years I've stopped hunting and got rid of all my centerfires except for a 30-30 Winchester Trapper and any new guns will be .22's.
