| Senior Member | What was for supper/dinner last night
This is for you GDawg. I had fried cornbread, field peas with snaps, Mixed greens(turnip, mustard) with turnip roots, stewed tomatoes and I washed it down with coffee-milk (made with leftover morning coffee splenda and a big glass of milk)I don't have coffee syrup. Guess what I'm having for lunch.

Unfortunately, since we have small kids that aren't very open minded about new food, last night we had Hamburger Helper. Although, the night before we had a couple Papa Murphys dLite pizzas! I love their "Chicken, Artichoke, Bacon" dLite! I did pick up a few Flat Iron Steaks the other day for this weekend. Got hooked on those. Maybe I'll cook up some spinach and mashed taters with some corn muffins. The kids will only eat the steak and the taters but most likely not the greens. I'm trying to convert them. I just got them to try Bagels and strawberry cream cheese a couple mornings ago. Little at a time. This morning I'm going to fry up some eggs and chorizo and make a breakfast burrito. See....! Now you've got me really hungry.

They make fun of me here at work because I eat Chicken Liver with Gravy from Lee's Chicken. I have never had mustard greens but I think I will try some. Fried Corn Bread does sound good. My Mother is from the Hills of Kentucky so I grew up eating all kinds of different foods.

GDawg I have a homemade chorizo recipe somewhere if you want it. You make it like sloppyjoes. Throw some cheese in those grits and serve up with some buttermilk biscuits and homemade cane syrup and you gotta meal.

Sunday it was quail in the crockpot. Monday it was rainbow trout. Tuesday it was deer burgers. Tonight, it's gonna be fried catfish. Tomorrow night, I'll see what's fresh out on the highway. Man, I can't believe people actually buy food in a grocery store.

A big bowl of my own home-cooked Beef Stroganoff! I make a huge pot on the weekend, and freeze it in meal-sized containers. Thaw, heat and eat! Yum, yum! Tonight, I purely murdered a Barbecue Rotisserie Chicken from Publix Grocery.....
