Blackhawk

Ok, What do you guys know about the Ruger Blackhawk .357/.38sp/9mm. I found one for $285. and it has a 6 1/2" barrel with the .357/38sp and the 9mm cylinder. I have a Single Six in .22lr. Is the blackhawk the same size [feel in my hand] as the .22lr? Witch cal does it shoot better? Is this a good price?
Thanks for all your Help.

I have a .357/9mm convertable 61/2" BBL. Bought it in the late 80's I really like the gun. I believe the Black Hawk is a bit larger than the single six. But pretty close. It shoots the 9mm suprisingly well only .002 difference in bullet dia. .357 vs .355 You would want to stick to jacketed bullets in the 9mm as the rim of the case headspaces inside the chambers in the cylinder. There can possibly be lead shaving. I shoot the 9's when I can get them cheap and as a novelty. People allways get that "monkey doing a math problem look" when they see you stuffing 9's in a SA. $285 doesn't seem too bad as long as it is in very good condition.
