I think I might need a different spotting scope..

I have some trouble seeing the .30-06 bullet holes in targets at 100 yards, especially in the black.

Really can't afford a "real expensive" scope. Of course "expensive" is a relative term, so can we keep the discussion under a $400 price tag, I would appreciate it.

I got a Leupold 15x46-60mm at Optics Planet for $218 + $35 for the case & tripod, plus shipping. Great spotting scope for the price. Locally, they were $399 and up.

i dont know if you are competing and if you have to use those black targets or not.
but i hate them and never use them.
i turn them over and put an orange sticker on them.
