Thumbs up How old were you when?????? Find out on this thread.

Need a reference to other events in history. Here's a chance to see how you compare.

Put your birth date in the window when you click on this link and see what happens. Pretty neat!

OX, good post. I can't believe how young I was. I remember the first Apple Computer, I was in second grade. I have vague recollections of a TI Basic.

Thumbs up

Yep! The TI's were the first handheld calculators I had. Just about all it did was add, subtract and multiply. Some had recall and some didn't. As I remember, they cost around $10 +/-. Still have a couple around the house.

My wife and I bought an IBM XT about 1986 but I was reluctant to use it. Finally I was provided an Apple XT at work and my life's not been the same since. About two years later I switched to IBM compabible's and that opened up the biggest changes for me. Since then at home we've upgraded about every 3-4 years. My wife uses lots of graphics so we need lots of capacity and speed. However, we never reach the cap. and speed we'd like.

I remember many of those events. I particularly remember talking about Desert Storm in 3rd grade. I drew a cartoon series titled "Mean to Saddam". 10-12 pictures described the story of Saddam's life after I captured him, beginning with enslaving him, then dragging him behind a boat, then strapping him to the outside of a rocket ship. He subsequently fell to Earth and into a pirate ship, where he was forced to walk the plank and get eaten by a shark. After surviving the shark's digestion, he died in an underwater fire and went to hell.

Kids think up the darndest things, eh?

Oh yeah, and I'm roughly the same age as the Bush girls.
Maybe they'll get drunk and land in my dorm... Except that my school has a policy against that, and "that".

Yeah. That a little before my time, too. Was it flintstone who invented that wheel? (ha)
