Rossi 9710 .357mag

Just got done reading an article in my gun magazine about the 6 shot .357mag rossi 9710 to be a decent handgun for under 400.00

I would POSSIBLY use it for home defense but most likely just for range plinking...anyone like/dislike the gun for any real reason?

Feedback appreciated.

I've had a lot of trigger-time with a 972 lately, and I can find no negative issues with the revolver. One thing that I like about both the 6" & 4" Rossi .357s is that they're balanced so well, and the grips are the most comfortable I've run into. The trigger-pull isn't gritty or sloppy in DA, and it's not too heavy either. It's not as precise as a S&W's, but it's entirely servicable. And the SA pull is just right for my tastes. While I'm not a fan of internal locks, the Rossi mechanisim seems to be a lot more resistant to lock-induced failures as experienced with S&W's. I've not found any ILIF reports with Rossii yet.

I consider the Rossi a great pick for an under-$500 revolver.
