Kenton national

Wow. What a place! Anyone ever been down to this flea market, festival gun show, whatever you wanna call it in Kenton, OH?

I went for the first time this year with some people that have been going most of their lives. I guess its Labor Day weeked every year. I will start by saying there is no ammunition aloud on the grounds(except for the LEOs I'm sure). This was an experience I will never forget. My buddies brought beer to carry around, they don't sell there, but you can bring it. So we spent hours walking around drinking budweiser, looking at guns, and other interesting items. Seemed like everyone there was half drunk, including the vendors. We talked one guy into giving us a couple bottles of mead by buying some $6 sunglasses. Next thing you know, I am buying a sombrero thats about 3ft diameter off of some other drunk guy, and I wore it the rest of the night. not many people could walk by with out saying something like ariba . I will put pics up soon. After a while,we ended up back at the sunglass guy getting another bottle of mead, free with the purchase of my new gun. It is a polish c64 that I thought was a Makarov. Turns out thats just the caliber. Oh well, I like the little gun, and if it shoots well, it will be my CCW.

Seems like everyone there was having a good ole time, and my freinds wife drove so that was good. I never would of thought alcohol and guns would be such a good time, but in this case it was.

Just another example of dimwits feeding the fire of anti-gun proponents and their continuing attempts to ban gun shows. Guns and alcohol don't mix under any circumstances, period; I'm sure the media will love to pick up on this fiasco.
Not a good example of responsible gun owners.

Sounds like a good place to buy a gun.

nope
it's not worth the gas to get there.

I found a great deal at a gun show...let's see, it was around 1985-86.
Don't remember what it was...a bayonet I think.

I bought 4 lbs. of fine-grit (24-40?) crushed walnut polishing media for $8.00 and 20 rds of 7.62x54R Norma once-fired brass for $3.99. It cost $5 to get in, so I figure I came out roughly even
