Fired-up Palin rocks arena, rips her foes

Sarah Palin, the Republicans` surprise choice for vice president, took direct aim at her detractors Wednesday as she reached out to a nation eager to hear her life story.

I just finished viewing the entire video of Palin's first convention speech. WOW! She made an "electrifying" speech without any doubt. I occasionally thought to myself, "...and some people wanted Hillary as president?" Ak Governor Palin has the potential to swing this campaign clearly ahead for the Republicans.

I thought it was a great speech, OX.

I'm pretty stoked about the whole thing--here we have a person who is tough and well spoken, who is a person of substance and integrety (not "show"). She also has coherent and great stances on most of the issues, and is from outside the warshington political machine. She's not riding a name or slogans but is an individual of accomplishment.

AND I don't have to worry about getting my guns grabbed over the next 12-16 years. That'll be great !

TXplt...all excellent points you brought up. This election has finally gotten me stirred up. It'll be interesting to see what others around the country thought of Palin's speech, and what it's effect will be on the presidential election. I think now that the Republican candidates will move ahead once again.

Most importantly, she practices what she preaches and she started in politics at the bottom and worked her way up, making adjustments on issues where and as needed. She is the same as anyone else and has similar problems in her family as many Americans. Teenagers issues. Brother-in-law problems. Which I'd add the one sided media is only broadcasting the negative.

Until I heard this cop she tried to get fired had used a taser on an 11yr old, Palins sisters son, and assaulted her sister, I don't blame her.

As for her speech, sure, it was well written, and um, Obama, get a clue, your speeches are also, but unlike you, she, this VP candidate, covered the issues she needed to as well as gave proof of her abilities and experience, unlike you the/a Presidential candidate.

I agree, Sarah Palin ROCKS! Her 80% approval rating in her state kind of verifies that doesn't it?

... obviously, not for the Liberals. Personally, I'd vote for her in a heartbeat.

She is definatley a homegrown politician who actually says it like it is. Granted there were some speechwriters involved but you could tell many lines were her own.

I like Sarah.

You can tell she is genuine and has a passion to make things better for all Americans.

She comes across as honest and trustworthy with an excitement you don't see in most politicians from any party.

She's ready for anything and has already proved she can shake things up.
