sounds good to me

i want a mini 14, the guy who owns the gunshop near my house says he can order me one and i can make payments on it whenever (i dont have the full amount to pay for it right now) and it doesnt have to be monthly or anything. i can just make a payment of what i want and when i want but he keeps the gun until he has all of the money which is perfectly understandable. so i figure why not. il stop in soon and have him order it for me, i think he said he at least needs a $20 deposit (only for shippin) sounded good to me so in about a month il have it.

why not get an sks instead, its battle proven, its cheaper! and it can do anything a mini14/30 can do. plues the 7.62x39 is a much cheaper and vercitile round.

everytime i think i make up my mind someone like blaster comes along to make me rethink lol. idk now il have to do some looking at an sks. i do know that 223 FMJ's are $10 for 20rounds. is the 7.62x39 cheaper? i want to be able to put a scope and maybe even a bi-pod on occasion on it, that possible with an sks?

you can get a yugo sks for $200, or a chinese (norinco) for $250 or a rusian for $300. i suggest the chinese. its my favorite. and they are practicly unbreakable and are as reliable as an ak or more!

^ What he said. You can buy 1000 rounds of 7.62x39 for about $180.00. The .223 will run about $260.00 for a 1000 rounds. Before some one tries to correct me on the prices. The prices are here in Ohio and are not exact. If you just wanting to sling lead definitely go with the sks.

by the way you can somtimes run into skss even cheaper than this prices i quoted, at the last gunshow i was at i saw 2 chinese and one romanian that were being sold for less than 200 bucks, i even called a couple of friends to see if they wanted one, but we all already have one or more each.

Since you live in Ohio and as I understand it you can't use a rifle to hunt deer, only varmints, the 762x39mm is virtually a useless hunting round for varmints and scopes aren't too sucessful on SKS,s,I would advise getting something in the varmint class. If you only want to spray bullets around, the sks will fill the ticket. sam.

I don't have any scopes on mine right now. I thought about it but mine are accurate enough at a 100 yards with open sights for anything I'll want to shoot with it. If I do put one on one I've decided to put a gas tube scout scope. I like the way they look. I knew Squirblaster was a Buckeye but didn't realize Tippmann7 was.

this my russian sks with a millet red dot and "recoil pad."the reason i put the pad on was i needed a longer length of pull.i also own a ruger ranch rifle.either would be a good choice, both are fine weapons.

Tippmann7,either gun is fun to shoot,I had 2 SKS rifles a few years ago and they are alot more accurate than my old Mini 14 but the mags were a pain in the butt to put into the rifles and I sold both of them because the mag problems. If I was going to get another 7.62x39 rifle it would be an AK or a Saiga. I have a Saiga 223 and it is a blast to shoot, but the mags are pricey. Just my 2 cents worth.
