Does any one own a XXII? I am looking for first hand experience. I am thinking about getting one and have some questions.

1. Is it worth the money?
2. How does it shoot?
3. How is the trigger?

I have one and I like it a lot. I just have not shot it much yet so I can't tell you about it's accuracy much beyond the test target. I think they are a reasonably good value for a higher end 22 rifle if you like the Weatherby look. My trigger is very crisp and breaks clean. I can't tell you the trigger pull weight.

I have only seen one in person at a store and I bought it instantly. They are really pretty little rifles. As far as shooting goes, I'm not much past sighting in the scope if that puts my experience with it into perspective.

I mounted a Weaver 3-9x AO Rimfire scope on it.

This is an excellent .22. Mine is an early one, made by Beretta and has a clip. It is very accurate, never jams and the trigger action is excellent and I am comparing it with other high end 22s like Anschutz, Kimber, etc that I also shoot. The only complaint I would have is that the clips are a bit hard on the fingers early in the spring if you are doing a lot of shooting. This goes away in a day or so as your skin toughens up.

if its anything like my weatherby vangaurd (.243) its a very good gun.

i bought one just because it was a waeatherby its a beautiful looking gun and shoots reasonable but i honestly was hoping for a more refined action all in all i give it an A- only becasue when i herd about it comming out i was hoping for a miniture version or the mark V and what we got was a plain old run of the mill rimfire action

Bushwhack. The Mk XXII is a very nice 22. I'm on my second. I got my first one as a Christmas gift from my grandfather. Both of mine are the detachable mag. models made in Italy. I understand the latter ones made in Japan are almost as good as the earlier ones. I've had to slightly modify all the none Italian mags. for them to function flawlessly. The several Italian mags. have never had a problem. This leads me to believe the Japanese made versions might have some slight tolerance differences.

It shoots very, very well.
Trigger is great.
Doesn't matter what it is worth - I am keeping it.
