The Right Thing to Do

Residents of Vallejo, California, are facing a public safety crisis right now. The city's declared bankruptcy, and crime is rising. Police are leaving the force for better-paying jobs in other cities, and there's no real solution in sight.

It wouldn't solve every problem facing the local leaders in Vallejo, but I think Solano County, where Vallejo is located, should treat concealed-carry as "Shall-Issue," rather than keeping the very restrictive policies that are currently in place. Residents of Vallejo have the same right to self-defense as every other American, and with the exodus of police officers, it's more important than ever that those citizens have the tools to defend themselves and their families.

Ah, but this is taking place in the Peoples Democratic Republic of California. It's so much more important to the government authorities in Solano County to make sure they are true to their principles and let their taxpayers remain at the mercy of the Bad Guys who somehow never have a problem obtraining guns to use to terrorize the taxpayers, than it is for them to do the right thing and let the taxpayers exercise their Second Amendment rights and be able to protect themselves.
