An Award for Nagin?
Can you believe New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin is being rewarded for his
courage and leadership in the wake of Hurricane Katrina? What a slap in the face to the hundreds of gun owners who were forcibly disarmed by Nagin's order after Hurricane Katrina swept ashore.
Well, the "Excellence in Recovery" committee may be giving Nagin an award, but the National Rifle Association is hopefully giving the mayor a headache. The NRA's lawsuit against the mayor continues, and until those firearms are returned, we're going to continue to demand accountability and responsibility from the man in charge of New Orleans.

Who is giving that clown an award, the Tooth Fairy? He should have been impeached for gross incompetence after Hurricane Katrina! How he got reelected in 2006 I will never know.

... now, Nagin being awarded for his mismanagement after Katrina is flat laughable.
EXACTLY ... how many people died because he wasn't doing his job as Mayor?

Wow! If that's a great example of a leader, I would hate to see a bad one.

That ineffable fool Nagin should be in prison, becoming the jailbride of Big Bubba.......
Just proves the adage - "**it floats......."

Few things can be more offensive than rewarding
Ray Nagin for anything before, during, or after Katrina.

WOW, unreal. Another sign common sense has flown the coop. Another time when ignorance and incompetence gets awarded.
How quickly they forgot his comment about getting Naw Lins back to chocolate. Guess you can still mean it as long as you say your "sorry".

So ... they reward someone after their negligence lead to 1,600 people dying ? What's next... Blanco getting the Governor of the Year Award?
