Welcome back! I'm glad to see you are in good spirits.
By the way my Mom & Dad live not to far from Knight's Ferry. They're closer to Sonora no smog up there either.

The good spirits are difficult to maintain, considering the circumstances. If you're talking about Jamestown, I used to know it well. But the bad air is rising, because of the added stress of the expanding population. The trees are starting to die, because of the pollution, and it's getting hard to breathe, even at 1300 feet. I hope your parents are doing well, but the air is getting bad, and it's no longer a healthy place to live. I'm glad I got out when I did, and hope to live a few years longer, for doing it. My Dad is okay, and I'll see him some day. I screwed up, and got maudlin dingy, and then talked to folks in Ca., so I guess it's time to say goodnight.

Welcome back Scotty! I am sorry for the loss of your dad. Know that now he can be with you even more than ever as my dad walks with me now and I can talk with him anytime I want.

Welcome home. You were missed.

Howdy, Tex, you're right. It's the tangible I miss so much, hearing the humor in his voice, seeing the laughter in his eyes. But, I also saw the pain, and could never wish him more suffering. I'm happy he's out of pain, but the selfish side still clings. I'm happy I'm home, and glad to be back with friends.
