Hi kids, I'm back!

Well, just wanta say howdy to ya'll, and let ya know I'm home. The trip was exhausting, to say the least. I won't get into details, yet, because I haven't had time to absorb it. It was hard to go to the house, and see the empty recliner, where Dad used to spend so much time. But, he's out of pain, and walking the fields in Heaven, with ole Sam, his faithful shepard, who preceded him on the journey. I hope he's not too lonely, with out all his grands, and great grands. He really enjoyed having them around.

I'm glad to be back, and brought work home, from Ca. A fella out there sent three antique .22 rifles with me, for repairs. Seems he couldn't find anyone to work on them, out there. If I'd have taken a tool set with me, I could have made some serious money. As it was, I only had room for three, and they cost me to bring them home. I'm hoping to see some new members on here, as a result of my trip.

Well, I think I'll get unpacked, and start settling in to life, as I know and love it. Gotta get the routine back, and get comfy with country living. See ya'll, and really missed G&G! You folks are for real.

Glad you're back, Scotty. Tell us more about those .22s. What's so special about them that a Californian is spending good money to have you fix them?

Thank you for the welcome home!! The .22's in question are family heirlooms, and have been in his family forever. There's a Remington, a Winchester, and a Savage. They are nice examples of old .22 rifles. I'll take some pics, and post them, in the next few days. The owner should be joining us, as a member, from Knight's Ferry, Ca. I tried to promote G&G as much as possible, while out there. We need all the pro gun members we can get! See ya'll later.

I'm glad to be back, with friends, and safe and sound, in the wonderful state of Oklahoma! The sunrise was beautiful this morning, and had no smog, to ruin it. I ended up with a sore throat, from all the pollution I had to breathe. Not to knock all the great folks out there, I enjoyed the visit with family and friends, but the smog in the central valley has gotten out of hand. They're blaming all the farmers, but it wasn't like that til the population exploded. Our breadbasket is being paved over, and no one's paying attention.

Scotty, good to have you back! Maybe you should become a qypsy gunsmith, travel around the country in an ol' bus fixing guns. Sounds like fun, doesn't it? About your Dad being lonely, up in heaven. I believe that like my Dad, he'll have all his loved ones that went before him to catch up with and all his old cronies to set around and brag on his grandkids etc. with. I know I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of my family
(I'm the last of six kids, Mom & Dad, I got one Aunt left on my father's side, she's 98 now with a birthday coming up soon). Anywho, glad you're back.

Snuffy

Again, thank you all, for everything. The prayers were felt, and appreciated, and likewise the welcome home. I'm about to go nuts, trying to sort out the most important to dos, to do first. I did test my Dad's Luger, and it still shoots just fine. It needs to be dismantled, and treated to a little TLC. Anyone know a gunsmith around here? Wait a minute, I are one of those! Guess I'll do it, my own self. We gotta go and see about new phones, mine got wet, in Ca. Darn pool jumped right out, and got me. But I saved my aunt from a soaking, so all is good. Thanks folks, for the welcome!
