Suomi 9mm Semi-Auto Rifle

Centerfire Systems is supposed to be selling these soon.. Anybody got a hunch at what they'll sell for, and how many changes to this little Finn didn they do to bring them into the States??

I work for a Finnish company and many of the guys I work with shot these while in the military (full auto version, of course)... I'm interested in one when Centerfire brings them in, and of course the guys I work with are interested in playing with it if and when I buy one..

Any thoughts on pricing??

Only that it'll be more than a Finnish Mosin Nagant!

It'll probably be at least $750 or higher (estimated guess based on the price of my semi auto PPSH-41). Just a rough ballpark estimate; but it won't be cheap.

As for the changes, the bolt will have been milled and welded in enough places to ensure that the rifle can never be converted back to full automatic. The barrel will be longer than originally issued to comply with our laws. The receiver will undoubtedly by new as well (again, to prevent full auto conversions).

Also, since the actual rifle will probably be assembled by a company in the U.S.; you can expect additional markings (company name, new SN, and model) stamped somewhere on the shroud or receiver.

Be sure to let us know when/if you get one.

Seeing as how it says it's a replica, I'd have to say they didn't change a whole hell of a lot to bring it into the states? But then, what do I know? lol

But it's a pretty cool looking rifle. I'd rather see it in a rifle caliber rather then a handgun caliber though. 7.62X39 would be real sweet. But even in 9mm I'm sure it's fun to shoot...

And the price listed of $599.99 seems typical for the times as well. I wonder if the times weren't what they are, just what it would go for then? The drum mag. is a real plus.

I took a look at the other images they have and one they have is a close-up of the rear sight and it looks like it only goes up to the number five. Is that representative and also safe to say it would be good or they assumed it would be good out to 500yds? I have no clue which is why I'm asking...

This pic...Click on image to enlarge.

Bummer, images show a drum mag. and description says it comes with a stick mag..But they do offer the drum for $19.99, with purchase of the gun SWEET! Otherwise $39.99 each for a 71rd. drum mag. Extra sweet!

Thanks Paper. Another one I want. lol
