The Urban B-O-B

The Urban B-O-B
This is a bag I made for city to city travel, please feel free to add or subtract items as you want. Let me know what you think and what you would do different. I know someone posted one in the powderkeg or somewhere, that they made for their wife, so input is welcome.

A handgun and ammo are a given for me so they are not on the list, I carry a single stack .45 with one 8rd clip in gun, one 8rd clip on the holster and four extra 7rd clips in a 2 mag double stack pouch. And if im going really far out of town I also bring a 12g 8shot with a 6rd sidesaddle and two 8rd sidesaddles attached to the stock, plus 6 more rds on the tac belt.

My bag is a laptop bag, inconspicous, so as not to draw attention. It has two main compartments and three small compartments that are covered by the flap. I have three surplus compass pouches and a surplus grenade pouch all attached to the strap for quick get to items. When completely full I throw a horse blanket over it and it looks like a junk bag.

Contents:
1 bottle vitamin C 500mg, 100 tablets
2 head wraps, like doo rags
Pocket knife, thumb opener
Snake bite kit, the suction cup kind
Medicated lip balm
1 nylon strap
Roll of electrical tape
A camo note pouch w/ note book, 2 pens, 1 sharpie and the complete SAS book compact edition
2 space blankets
Deck of playing cards
Bag of dice
Sewing kit
L.E.D. pen light
50x80 inch poncho
Basic first aid kit

Food container:
10 drink packets
6 Cliff bars or another protein bar
Snack baggie w/ hard candy
Snack baggie w/ dried veggie (mine right now has peas)

Odds and ends container (travel size items):
Wetones hand wipes
Hand sanitizer
Vasiline
Dental floss
Breath mint strips
Bug spray
Small eye glasses kit

Fire and water kit:
Magnesium fire starter w/flint
2 fire sticks
2 bic lighters
Matches in water proof container
Vasaline candle
Extra L.E.D. pen light
Aqua straw
H2O purifing tablets

50’ of 550 paracord
Multiknife
Carabiner
4 pairs of socks
2 pair unddies
2 Plain t-shirt
Plain sleep pants
Cargo pants or carpenter pants

Thanks to www.themartialist.com for some ideas in making this bag.

You have a bunch of stuff on your list I plan on adding to my b.o.b!

One thing I would add though is TOILET PAPER!

I just folded up about 25-30 sheets of it and put it in a plastic sandwich bag.

Oh, and maybe a small 1oz bottle of liquid soap, dish soap would work great!

I was at wal-mart awhile ago and bought an 8-pack of these dried compacted mini disposable towels. All you have to do is put them in a little water and they rapidly expand! Just something to think about I guess... You can't beat the price either (99 cents for 8 ) (They can be found in the camping section)

I like the idea of using a inconspicuous laptop bag! Good idea!
