moose in the yard

I stepped out front to grab the morning paper and looked up to see a young bull touring the neighborhood, just thought I would hang a couple of pictures for your viewing pleasure.

LOL - HE eats the heck out of the trees and bushes, the only time they are a problem is when they stand in front of the door so you cant get out of the house without getting stomped.

Love the pics! Wew get deer wantering through our postage stamp of a back yard, but not moose amblin' down the street. And to be honest, when I looked at those two pictures, the thought that went through my head was, "Hey, has anybody seen Rocky the Flying Squirrel?"

Great pictures. Are moose aggressive toward man? That may seem like a sillly question but keep in mind I'm from Florida. We have Gators and Armadillos down here.

Cool pics.

I saw a video a few years ago of an ederly man getting trampled by a moose. It was quite sad.

They can be, especialy a cow with calf/calves.
There was an MP at Ft. Richardson who found a cow with calf blocking the street. Seems they didn't want to clear the street quickly enough to please him so he blipped the siren at them. The cow stomped/kicked the livin' snot out of his patrol car.

Yep , in the wrong place at the wrong time, they will kick you to death. But ya know - they are called WILD Animals for a reason.

I took a week long class learning to carve scenes in moose antlers. Never realized how big they are, how big their heads have to be to hold up two of them, and how hard they are to find more when living in Kansas.

Great pics, John! That really overshadows the little whitetails we have, here in Ok.! Darn, that guy would just about fill the freezer! I've heard that bulls are dangerous as h*ll, during the rut. I read a story, about a hunter, who was treed for twelve hours, by a berserk bull!

I think we are going to fly up in the summer and check it out. The wife seems to be on board with the alaska idea. It's only a 3 hour flight out of here.
