You should have had the seller you bought it from send you a replacement extractor. I would at least contact the selling party and let them know that it was missing (they don't just fall off).

It set me back a few bucks........i told the guy I am not demanding my money back but it would be nice if he reimbursed me. I understand things happen and I am not going to accuse him of anything. I know that I am a novice and should have looked it over a little closer. LIVE AND LEARN! Now that I have an enourmous case of "mosinitis" well gun addiction in general I am making less mistakes.
WOW is it weird that all I want to do afterwork is either clean/shoot my guns or go to a gunstore and look at guns?

Don't feel bad about not noticing the extractor missing. I think most people would have overlooked it. It's not something that is usually removed or broken. I would contact the seller and let him know. If nothing else, it will give you a read of his(her) character for possible future dealings.

Don't fell to bad I bought a S&W pistol it cost me over a grand and had to put an extractor in it lucky I found some and bought 2. I am sure you can get an extractor for your gun fairly cheap.

Perfectly normal... for the beginning symptoms of Mosinitus.

yeah with the extractor probs i was gonna suggest you can drop your mosins cleaning rod down the barrel and force the case out, but u guys solved the problem.

Another thing you can do is purchase a few more extractors and a few extractor heads and put em together and carry one or two around at the range.
Or you can buy another bolt.
