Pets/Animals Mistreated. Very disturbing!

I watched this on our local news. This lady is lucky I don't live in Minnesota or any closer. Because I'd seriously love to put her out of those poor animals misery. At best, I'd love to force her to live like the animals and put her through what the animals she mistreats and has mistreated have been through.

Warning, it is heart wrenching...

GM, I went thru this, three days ago, and won't watch the video. People who do this to animals, also treat other people the same way. I don't know if they can be rehabbed, but if they can't, they should never be allowed to own animals,of any kind. This may sound brutal, but they should have to suffer the same hurt, that they put innocent animals through. I'm sure this sounds strange to some, coming from a hunter. But I don't torment, or torture the animals I hunt. I am careful to take only the good shot, the humane shot, to harvest the meat that I take. I will not force a shot, or take an iffy shot, to try and take an animal. I don't go out, and routinely shoot at anything that moves. If I shoot it, I'd better be ready to eat it! People who own, and abuse animals, should go to jail.

As I don't blame you one bit Seabee, for not wanting to watch the news video, which I'd add was done undercover, I will also make sure to point out that this is a breeder. Anyone that buys from a pet store could potentially get a pet from this breeding kennel. And many of them have serious problems. This lady needs to be, well you know.

I hear you, puppy mills need to be shut down! There's too much inbreeding, and it makes for less than desirable pets. I've even heard of Labs, from puppy mills, biting their owners, and that used to be unheard of!

I've heard similar stories seabee. This video shows puppies being completely submersed without prepared protection into tubs of water treated with insecticides.

You here her tell someone to treat something, a wound I think it was, by mixing Clorox (BLEACH) with water.

I missed it on the news, but my wife said at the end a mother dog was giving birth and they used forceps to pull the puppy out, breaking a piece of it's tail off as well as a leg, off, not broken. Then, the mother dog still with puppies in hers is put back in a cage to only later just die. This woman needs to be put to death. Maybe if drastic things like this were done for many tings, people would quit doing such in humane things. To both animals and humans?

In my experience, people who treat animals bad, also treat other people bad. They need to be institutionalized!

f$%#ing, F%$#ING mills!!!

NEVER buy a dog from a pet store in a mall. Go to a proper breeder with registered animals (at least most of their animals should be, it's not a total thing), go to the Humane Society, or the SPCA. DO NOT BUY A NON-RODENT MAMMAL FROM A PET STORE.

Charged with torture too.

GOOD.

Oh gods...listen to them...such distress. Look at their coats...that injury.

This is...it's hard for me to watch.

How is she still in business?! Clean...compassion...lying SACK.

American Kennel Club - akc.org

We made them to be with us. A puppy is a truly innocent and trusting thing. I have never seen a new, healthy puppy look to a human with anything but complete trust and lack of trepidation.

How DARE she betray that.

I'm gonna go hug my cat, now.

That is DISGUSTING, so cruel and inhumane, those dogs do not deserve that at all. I am of the opinion that people who treat dogs, or any other animal in that manner, should be locked up for a very very long time. The part that agitated me, aside from seeing the dogs in such poor shape, was the fact that she had the gall to lie, when the abuse and neglect taking place was so painfully obvious. The most horrifying aspect is that this is by no means an isolated incident, this type of stuff is taking place all over. Shame on anyone who abuses animals.

She should suffer the same way those poor animals suffered.

That woman is repulsive and disgusting and deserves the most severe punishment they could give her, but unfortunately the legal system will probably just slap her on the wrists. Animal cruelty charges are pretty lax...

But, this IS NOT an uncommon occurance, it happens more than just there. There are tons of puppy mills in the US and the treatment and care of these animals is deplorable.

The ONLY solution to this problem is to NOT purchase your pet from a pet store. Please only use animal shelters and rescues for your pets, you can even find purebreed dogs if you are looking for a specific breed. www.petfinder.com is another source.

The only way to stop this cruelty to animals is BOYCOTT these stores, demand creates need and these people are only in it for the money.

Road trip anyone?

Trust me, I posted this because I felt as you all do. Any of you in Minnesota near this place, never mind, I'll just say if I lived near her, she'd know me I'll tell you that.

I am disturbed that some called this person a "breeder". As a breeder of exotic cats I take offense at that. People that run that kind of operation should go to prison. For a long, long time!

I agree that buying from a pet store is not always the best way to go. If you want a purebred animal there are many ethical breeders around. In order to buy from me you have to agree to a stringent owners contract, the easy part, then pass my 'smell' test. I feel blessed that my 'kids' provide so much happiness to to my buyers, many who have become good friends.

Good for you, MCB! It's always nice, to meet an ethical breeder, who cares for the animals he raises. I wish every breeder had your ethics, and made sure the babies went to good homes, rather than simply use them as a means to make a living.

FWIW madcrate, I only went by what the news said. The word or worse I wanted to use would have gotten me banned for sure. And as I'm sure there are some who'd like to maybe see that happen, I'm not about to make there day. lol
