Question about the Rossi 972?

I was up in Indiana about two weeks ago to preach my uncles funeral. My aunt gave me a Rossi 972 (.357 Mag). It used to belong to my Grandfather, then my dad, then my uncle, now me. This gun is spotless, and I have to say it is just a beautiful pistol. As far as handguns go, I have always been a Glock man. I have not had too much experience with revolvers. I am not looking to get rid of it, I just want to know what I have. As far as looks and feel goes it could not be better. Can anyone tell me anything about the Rossi?

They are good guns, yours was imported 2001 or after. As you know it has a 6" barrel and is made of stainless, a 100% is 400.00 a 95% is 295.00 value wise.

First let me say I am sorry for your loss.I have not owned a Rossi yet but it will be my next purchase. My best friend has a 971(the 4in 357) and from all the reasearch I have been doing they are really good firearms. As for the worth I will leave that up to the more experienced Rossi experts.
